Data Aging in Bitmovin Analytics
Types of granularity
Bitmovin Analytics offers data in 2 different granularities:
- High-granularity data: each event of every user session is collected.
- Extended data retention: all events of a user session are stored in a single-row summary of the user session.
High-granularity data is stored for 30 days by default. Extended data retention is then available for the remaining retention period included in your Analytics plan.
Dashboard and query implications
- Dashboard features that are based on high-granularity data or have limited functionality after the high-granularity retention period are marked as such in the dashboard.
- All custom API queries based solely on high-granularity data will only function for that respective period.
